You guys have just been announced to play the full run of the Vans Warped Tour this summer, how excited are you to get back out on the road?
We are about as excited as it gets to be on Warped tour this summer. We worked very hard as the catering band last year to get on the tour’s radar, and now that we are actually a part of it it feels so surreal. We can’t wait to get out there and play every day, see some familiar faces from last year, and meet some current and future fans.

Could you describe a typical day on tour with BMW?
On a typical tour, we usually wake up after sleeping at a Walmart parking lot and get freshened up, go explore the area we’re in, maybe get some food and hit up some dollar stores, then get to the venue for load in. What we do after is always dependent on where we have to be next. On off days we do a lot of exploring and occasionally fire back some brews. We also all have a bit of a gambling problem, so if you want to hunt us down in your city, the local casino is a good place to start. When it comes to Warped Tour, the usual routine is to wake up at the venue bright and early, and start promoting our music and set time until we play. This year we’ll be finishing off a lot of the nights helping with drinks and food at the after parties or, “Barbeques”.

You’re playing “South by so What?” down in Texas on March 20th, how excited are you for that?
We are so very excited to be playing this event. We had the pleasure of being in the area and being able to catch two days of it on our last spring tour and (Besides some serious weather issues) it was a blast. We can’t wait to see it from the other side and play with all these great bands. Plus, Texas is dope \m/.

What should people expect when they come out to one of your shows?
A lot of energy and a good time. We pride ourselves in trying to make sure everyone who attends one of our shows walks away remembering it as a stand out experience. If you’re coming out to see us, be ready to move around, to do some singing, and to be on the look out for surprises.

You just recently launched an IndieGoGo Campaign to raise funds for your new record which you just wrapped at the beginning of the year, what can you tell us about the IndieGoGo process?
It was extremely helpful to us. We’re extremely thankful to all the people that donated, and especially to a select few who donated VERY generously, and will receive specific mentions when the album drops. We raised enough to pay for the recording quality that we wanted and the record turned out great because of it. We hope that is a satisfying feeling when someone who donated listens to the album and enjoys it, and knows that they are part of the reason it came out that way.

You released your debut EP Do What’s Best For You in 2013, What can you tell us about the direction you’re headed in with this new record, and how has your sound changed or matured?
You could say the EP was a jumping off point to establish what we were about as a band. We showed that we like to incorporate big and catchy choruses, lively instrumentals, and relatable lyrics about the experiences of growing up. There were some great songs on that EP, but it was just the beginning. We still keep all those elements that define us, but we cranked it up a notch or two. The choruses are bigger and catchier, the instrumentals are more intricate, and there are a wider variety of tones and structures to the songs. This is in part due to contributions from members who weren’t in the band when the EP was recorded. This is truly the sound we want people to define us by. I think it would be safe to say that the full length came out better than any of the members were expecting, and we can’t wait for everyone to hear it.

Craig – Why I’m Home by Go Radio
Ryan – Degausser by Brand New
Brad – My Hero by Foo Fighters
Andy – Let Me In by Make Them Suffer
Drew – Bottom Feeder by Bless The Fall
If you could have dinner with one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
Craig – Oprah
Ryan – Jim Morrison
Brad – Dave Grohl
Andy – Dan Bilzerian
Drew – Katy Perry

What’s the craziest thing that’s ever happened on stage during a live show?
I think it would have to take the cake when Craig climbed the Kevin Says Stage at the Cincinnati date of Warped Tour to the top and continued to sing while hanging by his feet last summer. It can’t be said for sure but I think that moment on the tour probably played a big part in putting us on some radars amoungst the staff and bands. That dude cray cray…….

Fresh into 2015, and you’ve got your new record on the horizon, as well as Warped Tour, what else does this year have in store for you guys?
We might have some more big things going on behind the scenes, but mainly just playing a lot of shows and promoting our new album heavily. We want BoyMeetsWorld to be quite a recognized name in this music scene by the end of the year.

I love to end off with one of my favorite quotes, “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?”
I’m sure we could all come up with some entertaining individual answers, but I think there is an appropriate collective answer for us: what we are doing now. For most, if not all of us, this has been the brightest burning dream we’ve ever had. We’re not going to take no for an answer.

Is there anything else you’d like to say to your fans?
Thanks for all the support you’ve shown us so far, and we hope it all pays off for you when you hear the new record that we are so excited about. Hope to see you at a show in 2015!
